I had to wait a few days to write about the SEC Championship because I've been in mourning over the ending of the game. I'm a big time Georgia Bulldogs fan, so I actually cried seeing the blatantly ignored personal foul on Aaron Murray and the missed-it-by-5-yards ending. Seriously refs? You didn't see Aaron basically get punched in the face? But whatever, I suppose it was just a game. After all, the SEC Championship was the REAL national championship. Notre Dame may have the best record in the country, but they've been squeaking out wins over not-so-good teams all season. The two best teams in the country played on Saturday night in Atlanta -- they were both 11-1, but they've only lost to other SEC teams.
In the end, I suppose the game is over and the door is closed for the Dawgs' run at a national championship this year, but it is nice to know they had an awesome season, up to the very last 5 yards.
Go Dawgs! Sic' em!
