Current Obsession: The Fault in Our Stars

Hello all!
My current obsession just like every other teenage girl in the world right now is the book and movie The Fault in Our Stars. The book is a beautifully written story by John Green. The movie is a amazing result of a wonderful cast (consisting of Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, and Nat Wolff) and a great story coming together to create one of the best movies of the year. The love that Hazel Grace Lancaster (Shailene Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort) is absolutely inspired. It shows that no matter what the circumstance is you stick by the people you love. I absolutely recommended that everyone reads this book. And warn you that if you go see the movie take tissues, because you will cry.

Favorite Summer 2014 Lilly Print

Hi everyone, 

I hope everyone has had an eventful first couple days of SUMMER!! I know I have. Its been filled with My Birthday on Sunday, my first day of work on Monday, and more work and family time today. Anyway this post is about my favorite summer 2014 Lilly Pulitzer print. Its the very fun and colorful print named "Jellies be Jammin" 

Jellies be Jammin is full of color and screams summer! Its so fun and whenever I see it i feel the need to be at the beach with my best friend and making sure I don't step on any jellyfish.

HSP house day 2014!

Hey everyone!
I hope all y'all had a great day! I know I did. Today was "House Day"at my school. At HSP we get put in houses when you become a sixth grader. Yes, we have a house system like Harry Potter. No, we don't have witches or quidditch or the sorting hat. But we are divided into four houses. the First is Trent (blue) which is the house I'm in, Second Nicaea (Red), Lyon (orange), and finally Chalcedon (purple). Everyone at my school spent the entire day playing around and having fun. Its my favorite day of the entire school year. The most exciting part of the day was when my house Blue House (Trent) WON!!! Since we won today our entire house gets to skip school and go to six flags tomorrow!

 It was one of my best friends in the world's last house day today and we're in the same house so it was the last one we'll ever spend together. I was very very sad, despite the huge smile on my face.

Hi! I'm Mary Reeves, and Im taking over!

Hello world!

Im Mary Reeves and my wonderful amazing big sister Carson has decided it's time for me to take over this lovely little blog! Im so excited to take over and share my thoughts and love for the south just as my sister did. For my first post I thought I would tell y'all a little bit about myself. Next school year I will be a junior in high school. Im a cheerleader for my school and its kinda my life. When I'm not cheering I'm either shopping at any Lilly Pulitzer store or hanging out with my very best friends. My birthday is in six days and I will be seventeen! The south is my home and I never want to leave. I can't contain my excitement to make this blog my own and i can't wait to share my passions with all y'all!

College Organization: iCal

Hi everybody!

I can't believe the first week of second semester is already over! I'm already enjoying all my classes, and I missed my college friends so much! Now that it's a new year and a new semester, I thought I'd share with y'all some of my tips for staying organized in college starting with one of my favorite tools: iCal! I definitely use iCal on a daily basis as a electronic backup to my planner (which I still live out of). Everything I need to do on a certain day goes on the iCal just like it goes into the planner, and it's really helped with my time management. I can see when I'm in class and when I have free time, and I can use that when I go to make my daily to-do list in my planner.

There's what a typical week looks like for me -- I never realize how busy I am until I see it in this format! I'm usually not into color coding, but I like to use it here because it helps me see at a glance what type of activity I'll be doing!

Year in Review: 2013

Hi everyone!

I hope y'all all had great nights last night, and relaxing days today! I had so much fun in Athens with my friends, I can't wait to move back into my shoebox on Sunday! I'll definitely miss my family here, but I'm sure they'll still come to visit lots!

In other news, I can't believe 2013 is over! So much happened this year, I don't know how I'll fit it all in one post!

In February I had my Senior Presentation with National Charity League. I got to wear a white ball gown with eight layers of tulle, and I definitely felt like a princess!

For senior spring break, my best friend, Charlotte, and I went skiing in Park City!

My Senior Prom dress is probably my favorite dress ever!

In May I graduated high school!

Me and Daddy and Mary Reeves at Sea Island this summer.

In August, I went through Sorority Recruitment at the University of Georgia! After a long week of rush, I pledged Delta Zeta, which I absolutely love! Here's my entire pledge class on bid day!

And, to top it all off, my friend Lexie and I went to Athens for New Year's Eve!

2013 was a great year, but I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store!
